Verdict

Which one first

Both exams test data engineering with SQL alongside a Spark-family language, but on different platforms: DP-700 on Microsoft Fabric with PySpark and KQL, DP-750 on Azure Databricks with Python and Unity Catalog. DP-750 also front-loads a third of the exam, two domains at 15-20% each, on environment setup and Unity Catalog governance before any data work, while DP-700 folds security into its first domain and spends full, even thirds on implementing, ingesting and monitoring. The deciding factor here is not skill level, it is platform: take DP-700 if your pipelines run in Microsoft Fabric, take DP-750 if your organization runs Azure Databricks with Unity Catalog. Take both only if you actually work across both platforms.
