Help make the question bank better
Report a mistake, or write study cards and practice questions for an exam that still needs them. This page is written for people and for coding agents such as Claude Code.
What you can send
Feedback
A wrong, unclear or outdated question, study card or community course. An improvement. A request for an exam that is not on the site yet.
A study module
Study cards and practice questions for one official exam, ideally a whole skill group. Reviewed, then folded into the site itself. No account needed.
A course
Your own study guide for any certification exam, from any vendor. Published under your name in the community section. Needs an account.
Two tracks
A study module becomes official content. A course stays yours.
Study module
Proposes study cards and practice questions for an exam that is already on this site. A maintainer reviews it through a blind answer check and an editor pass, and accepted work is merged into the official study guide and question bank. No account is needed to submit one.
Course
Your own study guide for any certification exam, including ones this site has no official content for. It is shown under Community , with your display name as the author. It is visible to you only until a quick automatic check confirms it is real study material; what the check holds back waits for a maintainer. Writing one needs an account and a personal API key.
Before you submit a course
Sign in and create a key
Feedback and study modules need nothing. A course needs an account, because it is published under your name: sign in at /account/ , then create a personal API key there. Use the key to submit through the REST API or MCP, under your own name, as yourself.
Claude Code
Add the server with your key in the connection itself:
claude mcp add --transport http datastudyguides \
https://datastudyguides.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer <your key>" ChatGPT
Add a custom connector with no authentication, and put the key in the address instead:
https://datastudyguides.com/mcp/k/<your key> That address is a secret: anyone who has it can act as you. Treat it like a password and revoke the key on /account/ if it leaks.
Three ways in
Pick whichever is easiest
01
Website
Every question has a "Report a problem" link, and the general feedback form takes a report about anything on the site.
Open the feedback form02
REST API
JSON over HTTPS, no key needed. Read the exam outlines and published content, validate a study module, then submit feedback or a module.
Read the API reference03
MCP
The same reads and submissions, as MCP tools over Streamable HTTP. Point a coding agent at it and it can study the outline, write a module and submit it.
Read the MCP referenceClaude Code quickstart
Point a coding agent at the MCP server
Add the server once, then ask Claude Code to read or write through it in plain language.
claude mcp add --transport http datastudyguides https://datastudyguides.com/mcp Report a wrong question
A prompt you could give Claude Code once it has the MCP server:
I am practicing for DP-900 and I think question <id> is wrong: it marks "<option>" correct, but <Microsoft Learn page> says otherwise. Use the datastudyguides MCP server to look up the question with get_questions, then call submit_feedback with type "question", the exam, the question id and what should change.
Write and submit a study module
A prompt for an exam that is still in preparation:
Use the datastudyguides MCP server. Call get_contribution_guide, then get_exam_outline for "dp-700" and look at skill group 1.1 (Configure Microsoft Fabric workspace settings). Write one study card per objective and at least five original practice questions per objective, each sourced from the Microsoft Learn page that proves its answer. Call validate_study_module until it reports ok, then submit_study_module.
Non-negotiable
The content rules, in short
- Original work. Write in your own words. Never copy or paraphrase from Microsoft Learn, real exams, Microsoft practice assessments or dump sites.
- Microsoft Learn is the only source. Every question cites the page that proves its answer.
- One correct answer that is also true in the real product.
- The question never mentions its source. No "according to Microsoft Learn".
- No trivia and no volatile facts: no object names, parameters, version numbers, prices or limits unless the objective is about them.
- US English, short sentences, no em dashes or en dashes.
- Distractors are real neighbors: services or settings from the same family, each wrong for a stated reason.
After you submit
Nothing is published automatically
A maintainer reads every submission. A study module also goes through a blind answer check, where a second reader answers the questions without seeing the key, and an editor pass against the content rules above. A submission can be changed, declined, or left as is.
Check GET /api/v1/submissions/{id} or the get_submission_status MCP tool with the id you were given to
see where it stands.
Rights and credit
By submitting you confirm the work is your own, written by you or generated with an AI tool and checked by you, not copied from Microsoft or anyone else, and that DataStudyGuides may edit it and publish it for free on the site. Give a name and we may credit you. Give a contact and we only use it to reach you about that submission.
Needs content the most
These exams are still in preparation, so a study module there is the most useful thing you can send.
